Thanks Ingo. I'm trying to get a group of students to make a film about the
dualling plans.

>Whats more important is that we bring in the direct access for the new
Colney hospital back into the discussion, especially during the general
election

Yes. We also discussed on Monday public transport access -- which looks set
to be by bus through the UEA and over the Yare. One idea was to propose a
light rail, running station - bus station - UEA - hospital. An idea for a
fallback was to propose that only electric buses should be allowed on the
Yare valley route.

We need to discuss all these things as we plan our public meeting format.

>PS HOw come that Tim O'Riordan is speaking for the LIb Dems? he was a
fully paid up member of the Green Party, last time I looked.

He still is. I asked him about this, he said he votes G or LD according to
the candidate list, and the LDs persuaded him to do this talk (although he
hadn't realised he was supposed to present their policy, and he doesn't know
what it is). I think in fact he'll give his personal views and suspect
he'll be supportive of our views. I don't think it's worth arguing with him
over this; if anyone disagrees with that, please let's discuss on the list
and preferably at a meeting rather than approaching him individually.

>And why is there no speaker for the LCA? could you please query this clubby
behaviour.

Nor the UKIP. I don't think that's too clubby though, the LCA and UKIP are
essentially single-issue parties. I'd expect them to be there for a debate
on drugs / Europe respectively, but not necessarily for anything else.
Anyway, if they want in, they should argue their case, I'm not going to do
it for them. It was hard enough persuading UEA to let the Greens in (Save
British Science, on the other hand, seemed quite happy with the idea).

Cheers,

Rob
