 Mick,
I've just noticed your change to the web address and also checked the
site. I think the site is poor and so does Keith. There are mistakes -
on one page it says that ozone isn't an important greenhouse gas !
As the MSc course coordinator within ENV can you complain even more
forcibly to EDU ? How can they discuss global warming without discussing
observational data and GCM scenarios. They should chance the name to
greenhouse
 gases.

On a different tack - you seem to be the CRU contact with respect to
Trevor's latest missive about the decline in research funding. At least
Trevor thinks your not one of the 'oldies' ! We've had a meeting in CRU
to discuss where we might have gone wrong with the EU in the first FW5
call. None of us though have received the letters from the EU which will
give scores and possible reasons. If Trevor contacts you about this
again we are planning to submit at least 3 proposals as coordinators and
we will be on about 5 others as partners. We are also planning to help
each other out by reading each other's proposals as one of Chris Sear's
comments from reviewing last time is that all reviewers tend to be
 generalists.
So we are pressing the right buttons and as usual we seem to be ahead
 of the rest of ENV.

 Cheers
 Phil
