Hi. I hope you can help with preparations for an upcoming meeting of US regional
environmental groups working to slow global warming. We are trying to get a feeling for
what colleagues in the environmental field think would be the best climate actions to
integrate into public awareness and social marketing campaigns aimed at individual
citizens. I d very much appreciate it if you would spend a few seconds considering and
answering the following two questions. We will keep your answers anonymous and we will
let you know the results! Thanks so much, Adam

Q 1: Please list the three most effective actions you think individual citizens can take
to help reduce global warming (list highest priority first).

   1. Avoid air travel ...... vacation at home; cut down on those unnecessary business trips.
   2. Purchase a high fuel efficiency car
   3. Purchase green electricity from your energy provider

Q 2: Please list the three actions that you think individual Americans would be most
likely to do, if asked, to help reduce carbon emissions (list most likely first)

Can't answer for Americans! For Brits I would guess .........
   4. Plant a tree
   5. Buy energy efficient light bulb
   6. Recycle more of their waste
I take it you've seen the excellent book by Dauncey and Mazza - 101 solutions to global
   climate change.
