TYNDALL CENTRE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE RESEARCH

MANAGEMENT BOARD TERMS OF REFERENCE


The Management Board is the main channel for accountability of the
Research Director to the Research Councils. It will meet annually with
the Research and Executive Directors, and will have the following
roles. It will report to, and be appointed by, the Research Council
Chief Executives.

1. To monitor the progress of the centre towards its objectives.

2. To monitor the use of financial resources paid to the centre by
the Research Councils.

3. To act as customers of annual reports, OPI submissions and other
publications produced by the centre.

4. To discuss with the centre difficulties it is experiencing and
potential opportunities to capitalise on, raising views on behalf of
the Research Councils.

5. In the case of severe difficulty or unacceptable progress, to
advise the Research Council Chief Executives on options for
intervention.
