Definitely the second one (natural) and possibly the first one in addition 
(man-made).  We can't be sure about the man-made one, until it is clear 
whether the cause of the supposedly greater past variability is the 
climate's response to external forcings, or due to internally-generated 
variability, or a combination of both.

I hope this is clear enough.  I already answered a very similar question to 
this in detail, and can send you this detailed answer tomorrow when I'm at 
work, but I don't have it here at home.
