Dear colleagues,

I have attached two papers recently submitted to J. Climate.

The first is a modeling and observational study of the 1998-2004
North American drought.

The second is an analysis of tree ring records of the Medieval
megadroughts of the American West which seeks to place them in the
context of historical droughts. This one is authored by my student,
Celine Herweijer.

Comments welcome.

These papers, and several others, can also be dowloaded from:

Unlimited access to all the CCM3 model simulations (16 member ensembles,
1856 to April 2005, GOGA, POGA and POGA-ML - with TAGA in progress)

Happy holidays to all!
