   Dear John,
Many thanks for your approach and apologies for the tardy reply.
Having talked with 1 or 2 people here and having awaited for 1 or 2 new developments to
emerge, we would now like to suggest we met up for lunch here at UEA sometime during
   October.
My colleagues Professor Davies, Dean of the School, and Dr Elaine Jones, Tyndall Business
Manager, would also like to meet you.
Might I suggest one lunchtime during the week of 28 October for us to meet? Let me know
your availability that week and I will consult with my colleagues.
   Regards,
   Mike

     Hi Mike

I am sending this message following my telephone conversation with Vanessa yesterday.

Until October 2001, I was Group Sustainable Business Manager at TXU Europe, and have
been associated with Tim O'Riordan ( TXU Sustainability Advisory Body) for several
Years, as well as being graduate of UEA.I was also a member of the CSERGE External
Advisory Body until I left TXU.

I am currently working for Alice Owen at Yorkshire Forward, on a short term contract,
assisting with their strategy to scope and develop projects to deliver concerted action
on GHG reduction, led by the Regional Energy Forum, to promote the development of
sustainable practices within the Yorkshire Region.

     Of particular interest are projects on;

     A) Carbon Sequestration

     B) The Lo Carbon economy - Micropower, Transport , Waste management, & Building Design

     C) The establishment of a "Hydrogen City"

     D) Awareness raising programmes , especially for Industry / commerce around the issues
and incentives for action on GHG reduction .

     E) Your views on the possible (interim?) contribution from "cleaner coal" would also be
appreciated, as this is clearly an issue for Yorkshire.

I would therefore be very obliged if you could spare some time to discuss your views on
the practicalities of these and other possible actions, and there may be a possibility
of research work for the Centre as a result.

I live in Kenninghall , Norfolk, so could meet up with you at UEA, at any convenient
     time .

Hope to hear from you soon

     Best wishes

     John
