   Bo,
I know little really about See - he started corresponding with me once our new Centre was
set up and then came to visit me for an hour. He has this idea to set up a consortium to
help operate the putative Climate Adaptation Fund, and seems to be lobbying various people
   - including UNEP - to try and get himself there. I have remained rather non-committal
about the role of Tyndall Centre, without detaching myself entirely. I realise lots of
other people are getting ideas too about the CAF. We have a strong Tyndall programme on
adaptation which Neil Adger from UEA is heading.
About the Wigley et al., I am at as much of a loss as you are. It seems Tom has seriously
lost interest in the activity - now nearly a year old. I will try him again - saying how
much your network are keen on the Manual - but I reckon it will never see the light of
   day.
I am up to my eyes in management now and am much less of a free agent than I was a year
   ago.
By the way, one activity we (Tyndall Centre) are doing is a desk study for the UK
Development Ministry on effects of climate change on British Overseas Dependent
Territories. If you have a few minutes - or maybe Rebecca could do this - could you read
the attached project summary (1page) and set of questions (1page) and point me towards any
relevant work/studies (e.g. for the Caribbean) that your network have done? Chris Sear is
the guy co-ordinating this for us.
   Many thanks,
   Mike

     Dear Mike
How did it go in Shanghai? The WGI report could not have come at a more
opportune time. Let's see if it motivate governments to rally around the

I am writing to you about Michael See -- who is he? Should I meet with
     him?
One last thing, what shall we do about Wigely et al.?
