Dear All,

Dr John Taylor, Director-General of Office and Science & Technology, is
visiting Tyndall Centre on Thursday 31st May. He has oversight of all the
UK national R.Councils (i.e., manages the governments 1.3 billion annual
science budget), thus it is an opportunity to impress.

As part of the programme, I would like to expose him to short snapshots of
science that is being/will be conducted under Tyndall umbrella.

Would you be free and willing on this day to give a very short (7 minute +
3 minute discussion) presentation on your work? The timing and
succinctness of this are critical, and so if you agree I would propose a
rehearsal a day or two beforehand.

Tim: is rainfall in UK getting heavier?
Neil: adapting to climate change: the research challenges
Aeree: obstacles in the way of the Clean Development Mechanism
Irene: public perceptions of climate change

This would be between 12 noon and 1pm.

Many thanks. Please let me know if you can do this.

Mike
