Hi Anders,

Here is the annually resolved uncalibrated Esper/Cook/Schweingruber 
(ECS) series with sample size and confidence limits. It is 
uncalibrated. I don't think that a direct calibration on annually 
resolved temperature is the appropriate way to go because the 
high-frequency "signal" in ECS is poorly correlated with 
high-frequency (<20 year) hemispheric average temperatures (see Table 
1 in ECS paper), in part because of the way that the tree-ring data 
were aggregated into a large-scale average BEFORE any temperature 
modeling was considered. However, the low-frequency (say >20 year) 
variations are almost certainly related to large-scale temperatures. 
Since what you are interested in is timescale-dependent, I figure 
that it is best to give you the uncalibrated annual data and let you 
sort out the details. As you probably know, Keith and Tim have been 
working with the ECS series and show some 50-year low-pass results in 
their Perspectives piece in Science. You might want to talk with them 
about this stuff as well.
