    Gabi,
So quite a few of us will be in Trieste ! The May IPCC meeting is 10-12, so outside the
mid-March to April timeframe for IDAG. Dates in that period I can't make are March 19 and
April 9-15. Try to avoid Easter. I have another meeting planned some time in this period -
will try and get a date from them.
Let's try and get together on the Monday evening. All at different hotels may not
make it easy. Also different chapters. We could always sit together at the organized
   Tuesday event !
    Cheers
    Phil

     Dear Gabi,
April 3-8 there is a PMIP meeting in France, which I might attend. This is a 50-50
     proposition at this time.
Don't know of any other conflicts for the dates you've specified, but please continue to
stay away from March 1-4 because there is a meeting of researchers analyzing IPCC model
     output that week in Hawaii.
There's another IPCC lead authors meeting in May, I think, but I'm not sure of the
dates. (By the way, I'll be at the meeting in Trieste.)
I have no objections to Duke.

     Dear IDAG people,
John Mitchell would like some input on what to say about detection to the modellers at
     the working
group for coupled modelling meeting (I resigned from that since I will be busy enough
     with IPCC
     but he still needs material).
So if you have anything that you either want to communicate to the modellers (new great
     results since
1 year ago or a concern / suggestion), send your suggestion/ picture to me
     BY NEXT WEEK TUESDAY PLEASE)
     - unless Peter Stott already has your result/concern!!
Secondly, we need to plan meetings. Tom and I suggest to meet at Duke.
Please let us know what times from mid-march through April do NOT work for you,
and if you have a preference, that would be good to know, too.
We should also have a short meeting in the fall at a venue of opportunity. This year,
     AGU is not necessarily
good, since neither Tom nor I are going - a meeting on detection for IPCC is pondered
     but presently
highly uncertain (decision to be made end/September) and maybe not easible.
The subset of us going to Trieste for the IPCC meeting should meet some evening and talk
     about
IDAG, eg monday night?? - who will be there in addition to Phil, Peter, Francis, Nathan
     and me?
     Other suggestions?
     Greetings
     Gabi
